Ponch and Jon, characters from the popular TV series “CHiPs”, patrolled the highways of California on their Kawasaki bikes. On-air from 1977-1983, stars Erik Estrada and Larry Wilcox rode Kawasaki KZ-900P’s for the first two seasons which were replaced by KZ-1000P in season three. There was also an episode where Ponch almost won a 1978 Kawasaki Z1-R on the game show “Name Your Price”.

It has been decided. I need to have a purple Street Triple in my life.
I’m only just getting to the paperwork stage of buying the Bonneville. What are the odds of my sneaking this one in too? No one will notice, right?

Leslie Porterfield is one amazingly fast woman. She has the top time on a sit-on motorcycle from the 2009 BUB Speed Trials at Bonneville. 240 miles per hour is crazy fast on a bike.
I met her at Femmoto a couple of years ago. We talked about her leathers, Fieldsheer has a picture of her on their site but they don’t sell them. I contacted them to see about the suit but they never got back to me, turns out they were a custom job for her since they are one of her sponsors.
